Musician John
Cale first entered the spotlight as a member of The Velvet Underground in the
mid-1960s. Cale, who celebrated his 70th birthday this year, is about to
release a new disc, Shifty Adventures in Nookie Wood. He reflects on his
troubled Welsh childhood, his current feelings about his musical past, and
whether he would work again with Lou Reed.
